Creating and maintaining a website involves various factors. Among these factors, some of them are global standards, and the remaining depend on service providers and market conditions.
1. Domain
It is the address of our website (for example, google.com for Google).
Cost: Rs. 500 to Rs. 2000 per year
2. Hosting
It is a place where we store our data, like images, content, programming files, etc and this store can be accessed via the internet. There are different types of hosting categories, such as shared hosting, VPS hosting, dedicated hosting, and cloud hosting.
Cost: Rs. 200 to Rs. 2000 per month.
3. Website Design and Development
The cost depends on many factors, such as using predefined templates, development platforms, CMS, website builders, UI/UX designers, freelancers or agencies, and custom designs.
Cost: Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 1,00,000+
4. SSL Certificate:
The Secure Sockets Layer Certificate encrypts the data transferred between the user and the servers. Most of the service providers include free SSL certificates in their hosting plans.
Cost: Rs. 0 to Rs. 7,000+ per year
5. CMS
It is software that manages the content on our website. These content management systems, like WordPress, Joomla, etc. are open-source (free). If our requirements demand it, we may need to buy some plugins, themes, or tools.
Cost: Rs. 0 to Rs. 10,000+ per year
6. Content
It involves new content such as blogs, videos, and graphics. Though there are AI tools to generate the content, search engines are not going to consider the AI-generated blogs for crawling.
Cost: Rs. 0 to Rs. 10,000+ per month
7. Maintenance
After making the website live, we will need to check for regular updates, backups, and other security measurements. Sometimes it can also include content updates like announcements, new blog posts, etc.
Cost: Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 20,000+ per month
